The EPA’s New Indoor Air Quality Guidelines for Multifamily Building Upgrades

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced a new set of voluntary guidances for building owners and managers!

Energy Savings Plus Health: Indoor Air Quality Guidelines for Multifamily Building Upgrades.

“If you’re renovating, remodeling or undertaking energy retrofits in multifamily buildings, these guidelines will help you take immediate steps to integrate health protections for both workers and occupants into your projects.”

Their new guidelines assist with the;

  • Management of a wide range of pollutants, such as secondhand smoke, that can move between units in a building.
  • Improving ventilation.

The Comfort First Filtered Diffuser can assist greatly in the process, with its MERV 12 or 14 rated anti bacterial filters. The good news for building occupants and managers, is that it require no remodeling and can be easily installed using only a ladder!
